Pink Sunset Is a Beautiful Way to End the Day

The other night, after supper and dishes, I had to make a run to the mall.

As I turned into the mall parking lot, the entire sky lit up like a gargantuan artist's canvas in pink.

It was so incredibly beautiful that I pulled my car over to the side and dug deep into my purse to get, what else?  My camera.

As a security car circled the lot, I rolled down my window and snapped a couple of photos for my blog peeps.

Nothing is too nervy for me to do for them.

After I took the photos, I quietly drove my car into a parking space near Macy's, still in awe over the intensely magnificent sky.

(And also hoping the security guy wouldn't think I was some kind of nut.)

When I was a little kid, I learned this poem:

"Red sky at night, sailors' delight.
Red sky in morning, sailors take warning."

HAVE YOU READ THOSE LINES OF POETRY?

Just wow! What a magnificent sky! And, yes, I've heard the little poem about red skies. Don't know if it's true, but a sailor told me once that it was, so ...

Amazing photos! You know, you have to catch a sunset or sunrise at JUST the right time, or it's gone in a few minutes. I have heard those lines all my life, and it seems to work out that way here in E TN. Hopefully, it will mean a lovely Thursday for you! :-)

I know those lines - my daughter does - and my grandson does - my mom used to say them every time she saw something like that!

Only God could paint a picture like that!

What a gorgeous sunset! Yes, that poem has been part of me for years and years. It has always proven to be true, too.

We've had rather muggy, cloudy skies of late -- even a thunderstorm during the night which is unusual for May. But today it is clear and hot! So I would imagine there should be a nice sunset. I'll have to go look for it since all the buildings going up are blocking my view now. :( Best wishes, Tammy
