Candles, Candles, and More Candles, Oh Yeah!

Candles make the world a prettier, softer place.

There is absolutely nothing like candles to add atmosphere, wonderful fragrances and ambiance.

Whether you prefer votives, tapers, fat or slender pillars, candles are going to add to the beauty of your home or patio.

On my "wish" list right now is a maple butter candle by Village, a company in Maine.

As soon as I have some extra money, I'm going to buy it.

The smell is divine.

All candles shown in this post are from the Berkshire Mountain Country Store in Lee, Massachusetts.

Now you've read previous posts on this charming place (lots of them!) because I love that place.

WHAT FRAGRANCE OF CANDLE ARE YOU CURRENTLY USING? WHAT BRAND?

I too adore candles. Your new scent sounds wonderful...great to look ahead to fall. I love all the cozy warm home scents the best...vanilla, apple cider,
all those types. I have been enjoying a soft lemon during the summer. I like those plug in things from Bath and Body Works when I'm not burning a candle. My daughter Gina gives me an asst for the whole year as a birthday gift in Dec.The sweet pea was nice for spring.

Since my hubs is not fond of many fragrances, I do not often use candles around the house, but I once had one with a pure, fresh rose scent that was just exquisite! It smelled as if you had walked into a rose garden! If I could find one of those again, I would love to have it sending its lovely scent throughout the apartment. That maple butter one sounds very appetizing, and it would probably make me hungry! :-)

I am wary of burning candles in the house but do light them around holiday time when expecting company. I enjoy Yankee candles the best. They keep their scent for a long time. I do not have a favorite.

I do love burning candles; the glow of a flickering flame is magical, I think. I've always had candles burning at the dinner table, even when the kids were little. They would each get to blow one out at the end of dinner. Now that it is mostly my husband and myself, I still have dinner candles softly burning at every dinner, even tho it is just hamburgers on the grill. Of course, unscented are the best for dinner.

One of my favorites from Yankee Candle is Stargazer Lilly; Right now I am burning Midnite Jasmine in the kitchen. Smells dreamy and the flickering flame adds a bright spot on a cloudy, gray day.

Looks like a great selection at the Berkshire Mountain store.

Well, some scents seem to bother some allergies that are present with those residing here.:-) We generally don't have candles burning, but will have some at certain festive times during the year.

Hello from Spain: from little girls that I have I do not light candles at home. I used to like the smell of roses and vanilla. The candles give off a rich aromatic odor. Keep in touch

Susan: Still another reason while I just think you are wonderful, you love candles and music. What can be better than that? Thank you so much for your kind words to me, I will take them to heart. You are indeed a dear friend. Hugs, Martha

I do love candles too! Just recently I posted about my candle lit morning :)
Those in your pictures are so tempting to buy!I can imagine the fragrance they give... I am not really using fragrant candles, as I prefer essential oils, but at my parents place I have the one with chocolate and another with rose flavor.

I usually do not burn candles but with recent kitty issues they come in handy :) My favorite is cinnamon.
