Antiques, China, Linens and More...

A visit to an antique haven stuffed to the rafters with thousands of items equals pure enjoyment for bargain-hunters.

On a recent excursion with a dear friend, she introduced me to a shop called "Great Finds" in a small New England town called Sheffield.

Its contents lived up to its name.

It's a great place where one could camp out for a couple of days and still not see all there is to see.

China, crystal, linens, books, jewelry and paintings are a mere smattering of what can be found there.

My friend bought this charming plate:

Items I left behind (but would go back for ) include a petite deep amethyst pitcher and  a red and white embroidered table cover from Europe. (I'm not sure what country it's from but I think it could be Poland or the Ukraine.)

A light turquoise Mason jar filled with sparkling baubles from a chandelier came home with me.

I'll be working on a $10 chandy found at Restore for ten bucks but that's another post all together.

Oh yeah. Summertime and the treasure-seeking is easy and fun!

DO YOU LIKE TO BROWSE AROUND IN ANTIQUE STORES?

Right now, I'm packing and told myself, "Resist, resist, buying anything new 'cause you have to pack it," LOL! Your finds are treasures that I'm sure you'll enjoy for years, XOXO
