Sweet Sunday

(This old New England church is appropriately called Church on the Hill. It's located in the picturesque town of Lenox, Massachusetts.)

This Sunday, may you find lots of reasons to smile.

May your heart be happy and filled with love.

It is my sincerest hope you do something good for you, today!

Once I saw a saying I loved.

It read:  "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."

Ha ha ha ha ha It's true, right?

So today, be happy so everyone around you can be happy.

Today, rain is forecast.

The dining room table at our house is set for six as I'm having guests for breakfast!

Spent three hours last night preparing food, setting the table, and getting everything ready.

I did it in terrific heat and humid weather, too.

Honestly, it felt like I was going to melt.

 Whew! Not pleasant.

Good thing I love to entertain.

The rest of Sunday, I'm  going to just relax and enjoy.

I might even think of something fun to do!

WHAT BRINGS YOU HAPPINESS ON A SUMMER SUNDAY?

Hello from Spain: I really like this church in the village of Lenox, Massachusetts. In my town the churches are very large buildings and stone on the facade. For me Sunday is happy to be home with my family. A quiet meal and a swim in the pool. A placid Sunday. Keep in touch

What makes me happy this Sunday? YOU! I just love your blog and your posts always make me happy. I am finally feeling better...it's been a long two weeks. I hate being sick.
I have to help Jim pack up this afternoon at his antique show and then we are done with serious business and can wait for that grandbaby!
Love ya,
Linda

My summer Sundays are usually complete when they include attending our church for Sunday School and worship.

This is a beautiful church you have pictured, Susan!

I hope all went well with your morning guests.

I know the church in Lenox; my husband has family members buried in the cemetery there. It is a very pretty church.

We have just returned from 3 days on the Connecticut shore with our family. Very hot, but a cooling breeze by the ocean. We did have a nice rain shower but it didn't cool it down very much. I don't know how you did all that cooking in this heat! We made taco's Friday nite and my son and I assembled a french toast casserole for Saturday morning and that was enought cooking for me! Keep cool.

Susan,
This church is so nice. It reminds me of the little church that I used to go to in my town many years ago. Since then, it has closed. I actually did do something for myself today. I went shopping, got a bite to eat, and brought home some chocolate, just for me.

Love,

Beautiful church! Sounds like a great breakfast at your house tomorrow, a special occasion or just a nice breakfast with good company?

I know you LOVE to cook and entertain - and you do it well! I am not sure who you served, but I know they had a fest.

When the people around me are happy - then mama is happy.
