Going out to brunch is always great, especially because it's an occasional treat rather than an ongoing happening.
Imagine going to a brunch and finding fabulous food for the tummy along with soul-stirring jazz for the ears!
That's exactly what you would have found at MadJacks BBQ restaurant in Pittsfield, Masssachusetts one sultry August Sunday.
The restaurant offers Sunday entertainment frequently so check their website for upcoming gigs.
The day we traveled to this western Massachusetts town for the jazz brunch, the group playing was Theodicy Jazz Collective.
The music coming from the sax made you want to get up between the tables and dance!
(Or grab onto one of the hanging ceiling lights and swing!)
There were also musicians on bass, drums, and piano, plus a fabulous vocalist who could easily entertain crowds in Boston, New York City or Los Angeles.
Long live MadJacks BBQ!
HAVE YOU BEEN TO A JAZZ BRUNCH?

The brunch looks great and to have great music with it!! Yummmm!
Can't say that I ever have. It appears that I would really have enjoyed this one, though!
Sounds perfect.
I've been to a "House of Blues" Sunday brunch but I am going to try Madjacks as soon as I can be in that part of the USA...yummy.. and that vocalist..wowie!
Hello from Spain: I have not gone to eat never a JAZZ BRUNCH. It's an interesting idea of restaurant. I also love eating in restaurants. Keep in touch
I have never been to a jazz "brunch", only jazz in the evening with cocktails. The vocalist looked very familiar and I'm sure the music and the food were to die for.
Will have to put Mad Jack's jazz brunch on the list of places to visit soon.
Never been! But it looks like real fun to be had here.
It sounds like a fun place, Susan, with a great atmosphere. I LOVE JAZZ TOO!
