An Ugly Planter

Hubs has a way of sneaking in decorations he knows I will dislike.

Maybe he figures I won't notice them but I always do.

Such is the case with a watering-can-shaped planter.

It's got frogs and lady bugs all over it and a slinky, snake-like vine along the handle.

Ooooo weee.  This is an ugly one.

I was liking how the blooming flowers looked on the steps outside the side porch.

One day, while admiring the beautiful flowering plants, my eyes zoomed in on the watering-can-planter, plunked right down on one of the steps.

"Now where the heck did that come from?" I asked  myself, even though I knew the answer.

But in the general scheme of things, it's not really terribly important so I'm letting go of my dislike of the ugly planter.

It's actually kind of growing on me. ha!

Our one-year-old granddaughter gets quite a kick out of it.

She stares at the frogs and lady bugs from a safe distance but won't go near the planter.

Smart kid.

DO YOU HAVE AN UGLY ITEM IN YOUR HOUSE THAT YOU DISLIKE?  WHAT IS IT?

I bet your little granddaughter loves the little fellows that decorate your pot! I kind of like the pot! All of your flowers are doing so well!

Hi Susan,
I think that planter is kinda cute! I love frogs. And yes, the TV is the ugly item in my house, and there are two of them!
Have a great Tuesday!

The kitchen... :)hehe.
Well, I mostly dislike all old stuff which is out of shape, it really irritates me when I even look at it.
I have few picture son the walls of my room which are not mine but were hung by my husband's family, I'd like to remove them and hang something more colorful.

Cute post. I kinda like the planter. I agree that in the scheme of things, an ugly planter is no biggie. I guess your hubs likes to feel he lives there too ;-)

Hello from Spain: I have several items in my house that I do not like anything. One of them is a plate wall. It was a gift and I do not like anything. Keep in touch

Ha Ha,it sure is ugly Susan, but hey it doesn't really matter, you can always plant something in it that trails all over it. :)
My hubby tends to move things in the garden into such strange places that look awful. I tend to leave them there for a few days then sneak them to a nicer spot. Anything for a peaceful life :)

You need to be a frog person to like them and I thing frogs are rather cute.

Yikes!, it is kind of ugly, but I can see it would be interesting for a child to stare at. Smart girl staying at a distance, tho.

I don't think I have anything really ugly cause I get rid of the uglies quickly. I do move things around after my husband puts them in certain places if I don't like the way it looks. I, too, wait a couple of days and then, like magic, things change. haha

LOL..I guess it's beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :) I dislike my husbands black over sized recliner that he has had for years....ugh.

...the planter will look great with a nice lot of things growing in it, especially if they are plants that need a different spot to grow properly...
