The Passage of Time

Every time I check the day's date, it amazes me how fast the months fly by.

Here it is September 10th already.

Holy "crumoli."

It's a little scary, isn't it?

I don't know about you but every day goes by so quickly that it's not funny.

Still, every day is good (even if challenging) and I always give thanks to the Creator for every moment.

As I've shared previously, September is my birthday month and I love celebrating every single day in even small ways.

Last weekend, I gave myself a very special treat, a lobster roll.

I kept seeing a sign out on the sidewalk  in front of a little place that read "Fresh Maine Lobster  Rolls."

Finally, scraping every last quarter from the bottom of my purse, I bought one.

Conclusion?  Delicious.

WHAT WAS THE LAST TREAT YOU GAVE YOURSELF?

Oh, my! I decided to enjoy the refreshments that were served at this evening's UMW General Meeting at church. I have always made a practice of skipping them in the interest of warding off weight gain. That plan isn't having the desired effect, so I decided I'd just go ahead and enjoy refreshments.:-)

Hubby and I went to a rather expensive brunch last weekend and it was worth every penny, not necessarily every pound :)

I have never had a lobster roll! But it did look good. I think it is important to treat ourselves once in awhile.

I have done it myself, but I can't remember the last time - maybe I should do something today!

That lobster roll sounds delicious. We have no fresh fish, lobsters or crab in our arid desert country.

That lobster roll must have been worth every penny and calorie. They are so decadent, but soooo delicious.

As today is going to be sunny, 90 degrees and humid, my husband and I are taking some friends out for a boat ride and a swim and then we are going to have Italian grinders, chips and Sam Adams Summer brew out on the boat. Oh my, talk about weight gain. We will have watermelon for desert. But no matter, the summer is waning and we are gaining!

We try to eat healthfully most of the time so this will definitely be a "treat".

Hi Susan! I don't even like lobster, and that roll looks worth digging in your purse for change!

I treated myself to a visit with my daughter and her family last weekend. So fun! My granddaughter is such a joy to see. 18 months of contradiction and sweetness. Loved it!
