Kitchen Knick Knack Rack Changes Decor with the Holidays

The old wooden soda case used as a knick knack rack was okay but it lacked sufficient display spaces for all the holiday minies that have been collected throughout the years.

Hubs usually hangs things on the walls but since he's been really busy lately, I decided to replace the old rack with another one I found in the attic.

Using pieces of metal and small nails, I banged two sufficient hangers into place.

Adhering the rack to the wall was tricky and the thought of it crashing down to the ground ran through my mind more than once.

I used a piece of sticky putty in the bottom right hand corner for extra sticking power!

Now holidays are joyous to me. It doesn't matter which one we are celebrating, it usually calls for decorating!

The Halloween  miniature ghosties and witchies are out in full measure here!

Hope you enjoy seeing photos of the rack and its contents and that some might even make you smile.

Guess what?  There are even some spaces left over!  woo hoo!

My one-year-old grandbaby's favorite decoration is the miniature Dracula.  Go figure.

He's a friendly looking dude, though, so maybe that's what attracted her to him.

After Halloween, all the decorations will be packed away and things for Thanksgiving will come out of storage.

After that, of course, comes Christmas!

Until next time, just like the pint-sized mummy waving below, bye bye.

DO YOU DECORATE FOR THE SEASONS?

What a cute Halloween display! I'd need the sticky putty, too.:-) Yes, I try to keep some things on display that are appropriate for the season. Some seasons are more amply represented than others.:-)

Hello from Spain: I like your shelf full of figures related to Halloween. You have many decorative statues. I love it. This year you have to fill the holes on the shelf. Indeed, soon Christmas. It's my favorite time to decorate and my house and my garden. Keep in touch

Good Morning Susan! I really like that soda case, what a great repurpose! And see, you are crafty with the tools too :) I had to smile at your grandchild's favorite Dracula. What would we do without these precious little ones??

I hope you will show us your Christmas arrangement too. This must take a lot of time! Your love for decorating really comes out with this project.

Happy Tuesday!

Love the little mummy that got a bad rap! All the Halloween mini's look great in your cubby. Great for displaying them all in one spot.

I do like to decorate for the different holidays, but time goes by so fast it's hard to keep up. I do have some decorative squashes, pumpkins and a black cat along with a lantern on my front stoop. Will keep them up(minus the black cat)until after Thanksgiving. I have simplified my decorating somewhat. Enjoyed seeing your decorations.

Looks great - like a printers tray! I always decorate for the holidays even though sometimes no one but Mr OP gets to enjoy it - LOL!

I love your little Dracula too - cute!

You know Linda - she has one of those little cubbies that she decorates too. That was so cute. So you just put it up all by yourself? Way to go girl.

Very cute.

Yes I don't decorate a lot - but some - I will have to take pictures of the Halloween decorations we put up.

Love, sandie
