Gingerbread House Variety

Okay dear blog friends, today I need your honest opinions.

Of the two gingerbread creations pictured, which would you choose to bring to your home?

Also, what do you like about each of the creations?

One is a unique, kind of traditional colorful gingerbread house that has a pretzel roof with cotton smoke coming out of the chimney.

Also, a Tootsie Roll reindeer and candy Santa, a little "candy" girl looking out a window and a yellow gumdrop duck!

The  other structure is a simple white chapel with gumdrop "stained glass" windows and smooth white walls.

It has a pastel rainbow striped roof and a red licorice cross at the top.

So please tell us your opinions of which creation would you bring home and what details do you like about each one?

Your opinions count!

Lovely creations. In my older life I tend to go gor a more simple less cluttered look. Although I truly appreciate all the difficult minute details of the house, the burch is a better reflection of my spiritual life as of late. Peacefulness, simplicity, love in simplicity.

I love them all, very well made too. I do like the church one for some reason.

Hello from Spain: I know you have kids at home and I think they will like it more the house with candies and the roof of many colors. Keep in touch

The church inspires me to slow down, the other one makes me a bit frenetic like rushing here and there at this busy season. I need a reminder to take it easy.

I love them both, but the church would be my first choice - it's a good reminder of what the season is about. The roof is especially pretty. Very quaint - I love it.

Oh, the grandchildren in my life would really go for the first one!

How do you decide--one is whimsy and puts a smile on my face, the other is serene and speaks volumes of the holiday. Why not bring home both! XOXO

They are all wonderful...but I choose the church....I would love to have the tootsie roll rain deer from the other one.....so cute :)

They really are both cute, but the church is the one I would choose. Love the peppermint around the door and the roof! Cute!

I vote for the church; love the candy "pills" for the roof tiles. I'm sure a child would pick the other creation with all the animals and detail. Used to make gingerbread houses with my kids and nephew and niece many years ago. Have some nice pictures to their creations. Fun activity for young and old alike. Will have to revive the tradition when my grandaughter gets a little older.

I guess I like features of both....Maybe a combination? I like the pretzel roof and the stained glass windows...and peppermint trim around the door!
