Favorite Rose-covered Gift

Undoubtedly, each of us has favorites among the gifts we received for Christmas.

One of mine is a lovely container that I plan to use for book storage.

It's metal, has a wonderful shape and has gorgeous roses painted on the side.

I just love it.

One could probably put a floral arrangement in it but I think using it for something more useful is a good idea.

It's really a very pretty piece.

WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS GIFTS?

My sister would love those roses!

The best Christmas gift here was being able to have our family all together, though it was just for a very short time.

It is so pretty and I like that you will use it in such a practical way. One of my favorite Christmas gifts was a candlewick bowl that came from my son in law's family. So sweet!

Pretty and see lots of potential uses! My favorite without a doubt was the loads of gift cards to B and N and to amazon. Wow!

My favorite gift was seeing my daughter married and being with friends and family that I haven't spent a Christmas with in years.

My favorite Christmas gift was having my whole family around the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. As you said in a post the other day, the future is promised to no one. As I get older, the simple things, are truly the best.

Ooo, that is a hard question. But I have to say the little book that my daughter had made for me, detailing the times we spend together driving around in my Jeep, during good times and hard times. It made me cry. She did all the drawings and the story, and had it professionally bound. :) Kit

Oh it's gorgeous and I can see why you love it. I love me some roses:)

I'd say a photo of our Fireman, his Flame and the kids! He's so happy and it makes this Mummy happy!

Happy New Year Susan!

Hi Susan,

This is a lovely and unusual thing, and I think you're right to use it to something different. I love the roses and the vintage look of it.
My favourite gift was my new watch and camera.
Have a great Sunday.

Hugs,
Eva

I got wonderful gifts this year, but the one that brings tears to my eyes came from my nine year old grandson. He bought for everyone this year - cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. He got me four small red ornaments for the tree. He stood by, so excited for me to open them, big brown eyes shining, then said, "Do you like them Grandma? I got them for you myself at the Dollar Store." My throat tightens every time I think of it. What a love! God blesses me so through my loved ones.
