Meaningingful Message

Among life's richest blessings to me are our precious biological children and darling nieces and nephews.

I cherish each one of them.

This year, for Christmas, I loved all the gifts given to me by my grown children and sweet nieces .

One of them gave me a gift that will bring meaning to my life every single day of 2014.

She did hand-painted flowers on canvas and lettered phrases from the Bible as gifts for  aunts.

I love my new gift and have it hanging in the kitchen underneath the miniature curios shelving unit.

It matches perfectly the room's walls which are done in a paint called "Morning Sunshine."

Sometimes, like most of us, I get caught up in a flurry of activities and loud distractions that are part of life.

This is a perfect reminder to be still and think about our heavenly Father on a daily basis.

HOW DO YOU FIND MOMENTS OF STILLNESS IN YOUR LIFE?

Hello Dear Readers.

I would like to welcome Joanne from My Random Insanities as this blog's newest Follower.

I met her through Diann's blog, The Thrifty Groove. Diann has graciously encouraged bloggers to meet and support each other!

Hope you each have a really super Sunday today. Hugs to all. Susan

What a very special gift, Susan.

And in answer to your question, I don't "find" moments for stillness. I "make" them. (I know that sounds kind of blunt and maybe boastful--not my intent.) So essential is "stillness" to me, that I honor the quiet and stillness that I need by frequent evaluation of my schedule and deliberate paring down of activities...

This is a my very favorite line of Scripture! A friend just used it in her mother's funeral too. We have blowing snow and frigid air this morning. I am thinking you must be having about the same. Happy cold Sunday!

I can't say that over the last few years that I've really known stillness. Life dealt me a curve ball that I never saw coming when we lost Kelly and I hope that I will continue to heal and find my faith once more. Your post is lovely, XOXO

What a sweet and thoughtful gift. This is the type of gifts I like to get. I have no trouble finding moments of stillness...but my best is early in the morning with my bible and praise time.
