Pink Rose Garland for the Fireplace Mantel

Roses of all colors are delightful but the pinks go straight to my heart.

After all the Christmas decor was packed and stashed in the attic, the pink mantel in the living room looked pretty bare.

"What that mantel needs are some pink roses," I thought.

Actually, a pink garland of roses would be perfect.

Wouldn't you know that Michael's Craft store has rose garlands in for Valentine's Day and I fell in love with the one featuring pink roses.

The garlands, by Ashland, were buy one, get one free so they came to a little less than $7 each.

Yes, that's a lot more than thrift store prices but since the holidays, I've been good.

I've been in only one thrift store in a month and that's amazing!

So the pink rose garland now adorns the pink fireplace mantel.

Now how dandy is that?

DO YOU DECORATE WITH FAUX ROSES AT ALL?  IF  YES, WHAT COLOR?

Actually, there are no faux roses here. Yours look perfect where you have them, and I don't think you paid too much for them!:-)

Enjoy the faux roses Susan. I know you love pink too. I do not have a mantel to decorate at my house. Happy early Valentine's day to you.

I don't use many flowers in my decor but if I did, yes they would be Pink! I think your mantel looks lovely and that price isn't bad at all. Thrift stores are great but they dont' always have Everything we need! Hugs, Linda

Your pink rose garland is perfect for your mantel; just in time for Valentine's Day decorating.

I do decorate some with faux flowers. I had a vase of pine in the family room that had some deep red, dried roses in it and I have enjoyed it all thru the holiday season. I almost threw all the greens out, but came upon a beautiful stem of medium pink "mini" roses in the attic. They look great with the pine, which is still quite vibrant as they are in water. I will keep them thru Valentines' Day for sure.

Hope you are better...

Hello from Spain: I really like your roses imitation over the fireplace. I like light pink. I have fabric roses to decorate the room. Keep in touch

Pink roses...perfect right there! Still snowmen here...forecast is for last week in January and first of Feb. to be really bad weather again...I can't bear the thoughts of pretty pastels in that! Also writing like crazy...so barely keeping up anything. Glad you are in the pink there!

I have lots of fake flowers and fruit as the real stuff attracts fruit fly so I keep it in the fridge and I don't pick any flowers in the garden as we spend as much time outside as inside.

First of all I apologize I am so late. I have been doing the exact opposite of what you have been doing. I am not decorating which I love - but decluttering.

I am still working on my kitchen thinking of how much stuff I have bought, why, and how much money I have spent.

Now saying that - I LOVE your pink rose garland. It is beautiful.
