A very dear friend , Christine, creates touches of loveliness throughout her home.
She's an artist who also loves to create vignettes of all kinds.
She usually has attractive centerpieces on her tables, too.
For example, she just revamped a Christmas tabletop tree into a "sweetheart tree!"
While it is perfect for the upcoming month of love, why not display it longer, like before and after Valentine's Day?
After all, this world needs all the love it can get.
As you can see, Chris sent several photos of her tree for you to see but said it's even prettier in person.
Here's what she has to say about her creation:
"I stripped the birds and garland off of my little fir tree.
I bought four bunches of roses and three bunches of baby's breath.
Total cost...$11.00.
I wound the garland around one time, in tiers.
Clipped the roses off the bunches.
Placed them all (24 singles) inside the branches.
Placed them all (24 singles) inside the branches.
Cut up the baby's breath....placed in between branches and roses.
Isn't that tree as pretty as a picture?
Thanks, Chris, for sharing it with us!
HAVE YOU EVER MADE A SWEETHEART TREE FOR YOUR HOUSE?

A pretty Sweetheart tree, thanks for the inspiration. I'll have to make one too! I want to do something after removing all the holiday stuff- it looks so bare.
I love making up little vingnettes too! I left out all my red linens and hearts, angels and cherub things, so I ought to get started on Valentines Day!
What a wonderful, lovely idea! Thanks so much for sharing! I so enjoy your blog. :)
Happy Saturday to all!

Christine's delightful creation coupled with the devotional I read this morning brought a thought to mind. I look at what Christine made and see the beauty and creativity of our God working in and through His children for the joy and delight of the rest of us! How blessed we are!
What a pretty little tree! I thought of hanging some hearts on my little tabletop tree, but Tiger keeps telling me that its not Christmas anymore Grandma and time to take down the tree! Maybe next year he will understand! Hugs!!

I think sharing the thought of LOVE with this lovely tree is perfect. This is one holiday that should be a "centerpiece!"

That's beautiful!
Well that takes talent, ingenuity and patience...all of which I am really lacking in...but it is so pretty.
