Hearts Are Where the Home Is

Found a couple more hearts to add to the house for upcoming Valentine's Day.

The first is so pretty and made by my artist sister.

It has a crocheted base, tiny pink roses, bitsy strings of beads and pink ribbons.

There are actually three hearts in varying sizes but this year I decided to hang just one on a door in the hallway.

The other heart is broken but I decided to use it anyway.

I probably should have thrown it out but, after all, aren't broken hearts part of life?

It has light pink glass on the left and deep cranberry on the right.

It's hanging in a glass pane on the back door.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A BROKEN HEART?

Oh, Susan! I like that "broken" heart! Reminds me that I have a blue stained glass heart hanging outside...no way to get it! Too much snow :)

What precious Valentine decorations!

A broken heart? Of course. Hasn't everyone?

I actually hope so. Otherwise, how can we understand, when our child's heart, is broken?

Gentle hugs,
Tessa~

I have that Valentine heart too but I can't find it anywhere this year. I must have put it away really good last year. Oh well. I tend to throw out broken things right away...glad you saved your broken heart.

I guess life hands everyone a broken heart at some point. We do learn valuable lessons in the process, tho, don't we?

I,too, have a broken glass heart that is red. I still do display it and think it all the more meaningful, because as you said, broken hearts are part of this life.

Have a Happy Valentine's Day week...

Another of your cute displays, Susan. Looks like winter has descended in your neck of the woods, too.
