Hop, Hop, Hopping into a Cuddly Easter

Taking a leisurely stroll through a Goodwill Store, just about  any Goodwill, is always fun.

When something special pops up, right before your very eyes, it's even more wonderful.

That's what happened recently when I found one of Anne Geddes' bunny babies.

Now Anne is the Australian  photographer who took tons of photos of babies in flower pots, on leaves, and so forth.

Anyway, the little bunny baby was still attached to cardboard in a rather decrepit box but she had clearly never been removed.

 The price was $4.00! Wowsers.

Once I got home, off came the bunny suit.

It got washed in the machine and then put into the dryer.

Meanwhile, the babykins' face, arms and legs got a bath.

After drying the very fluffy suit, I re-dressed the baby bunny.

 Isn't she sooooo cute?

Mwah!  Mwah!

Look at the pink, velvety bottoms of her paws and ears!

I'm going to put it in my darling little granddaughter's Easter basket (that is, if I can part with bunny baby. hee hee)

Today we are joining Thrifty Things Friday on Diann's blog, The Thrifty Groove, with co-host, Linda, from A La Carte.

ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH ANNE GEDDES WORK?

Wow! Truly a good deal. My grandsons are 17 and 18 years old now. When they were tiny toddlers I got them each one of these for easter. Their dad wasn't too thrilled but granny here didn't really care.

I am familiar with Anne's work. I found one that looked just like this at our GW but nothing on the tag mentioned Anne. Does the tag on yours or were they never marked with her name? Glad you got yours.

Susan, your granddaughter is going to be one happy chicken, this Easter. What a great find. We don't have Goodwill in Australia. We have other thrift stores, and like you, I'm a big fan of the hunt.

Blessings
Dotti ;)

Very cute and cuddly and just in time for Easter; I'm sure your grandaughter will love it.

I am familiar with Anne Geddes; kind of unusual pictures that I didn't quite warm to. Not really sure why as I love babies and flowers... The baby bunny is adordable tho. Good find.
