Mexican Cuisine

Mexican is a delicious cuisine.

It's not all spicy and enough to burn the cilia in your nose. Uh uh. Far from it.

It uses a nice combination of spices and is quite tasty.

It's hard to find authentic, good Mexican food where we live, in the eastern United States.

So when I'm really hankering for some, a trip to Chipotle in Albany, N.Y., satisfies the craving.

Below you'll see a delicious warm tortilla that came in a foil wrap:

Now, it's probably not completely authentic but the food is fresh and tastes good.

On a recent jaunt to Albany, we stopped at Chipotles and I had a burrito bowl----grilled green pepper strips, cubes of good-tasting steak, rice, beans, onions, lettuce, guacamole, some sour creme and salsa. Oh yeah.

So until I can win the lottery and head south to Mexico, for the real  thing, Chipotle's will have to do.

DO YOU LIKE MEXICAN FOOD?

We have tons of Chipolte's restaurants here..one down the street from me. Too bad I really do not care for Mexican food at all..especially the refried beans....sorry! Glad you enjoyed your trip there though.

Is this restaurant a chain or proprietor owned? We have chain Chipotles. We also have a wonderful authentic Mexican restaurant nearby. They make the best chicken chimichangas I have ever eaten.

Mmmmmm, not that much. For one thing, I can't take hot foods. Yes, a wimp!

And for another, I have not had that much Mexican food. So it's not really something I can judge. "Don't knock it, till you try it"!

Gentle hugs,
Tessa~

Well, actually, Mexican is not our favorite. It is usually not the choice if we are going out to eat. I enjoy a shrimp cocktail at one place and a taco pollo salad at another, but stay away from the tortillas, beans, and toppings.

Your pictures look very good. Mexican is not hubby's first choice as sometimes it bothers him. I am a sport and pass the places...but sometimes I sneak by our local drive through and get a burrito or a taco for myself!

We do love Mexican food; yours looked so delicious.... Never have been to Chipolte, will have to try it the next time we are in Albany or Springfield. I do make tacos occasionally and of course salsa is a favorite here too. Ole!

Ha! I like the parking sign. Zack wanted so bad to go to a Chipotle while we were in the States over the summer but we never managed to get to one. Maybe this summer he'll get lucky. :) Best wishes, Tammy
