Bunny Tea Party

A few years ago, in a thrift store,I came across a darling bunny tea set for children.

I bought and stored it.

Now that I have a darling little granddaughter, I couldn't wait for her to visit so the tea set could be put to use.

When she saw the little bunny cups and dishes, those big eyes got bigger!

We had chocolate milk "tea" and pound cake cut into tiny squares.

A lovely white tablecloth covered her pint-sized table.

Uh oh.  The tea ended up on the cake instead of in the cup!

After a refill, it was good to the last drop.

Tea party's over!  Time to clean up and pop that no longer white tablecloth into the wash.

Gotta say, the bunny tea party was a lot of fun!

The bunny tea set will now "hop" away until the next party.

HAVE YOU HOSTED A TODDLER TEA PARTY?

I only have three grandsons who wouldn't really care for a tea party. I'm glad you had one for your granddaughter. I have a feeling you've done this before with great nieces too....wonderful!

Oh Susan, how fun is that?! You of course will have to have a tea party every time she comes to visit now.

Great that you have a reason to use your bunny tea set!!! I bought a Winnie the Pooh tea set a few years ago...I saw it the other day and realized I will not ever have a real use for it. Not quite ready to give it up though...there many be someone somewhere who needs this in the future!

This has got to be the sweetest thing I have ever seen! Just adorable. I love how she seems to be enjoying it all, even to the last drop. You are such a special grandmother! My Grandmother did things like this with us...but we didn't have such a cute tea set to play with...just some old Tupperware. ;) Still thinking of you and your sweet Honey Cat. Sending hugs today and lots of sunshine! Blessings, Valerie

Hello from Spain: Your granddaughter is lovely having tea. The set of china is beautiful and very nice. I drink tea playing with my daughters but the cups are for your games. Keep in touch

Awe what a great memory - are you taking pictures and then putting them in a grandma memory book? Kelly has done that - not with me - but with Andy and all the milestones or what he did every year and has a book made every year - they are so cute.

Oh, the bunny tea set is so cute, Susan. Your Granddaughter must have loved the tea party. I used to play all the time with Jess and Nel when they did their girly things.

You are such a good Grandmother. You let the little ones enjoy themselves, even if it means making a mess.

Have a good rest of the week.

Dear Susan, I had to come back to this post again! I went thrift store shopping today. And sitting right there on the shelf was a tiny miniature bunny tea set, that looked to be brand new! I thought about your wonderful bunny tea party. It is not as fabulous as yours, but for $2 I couldn't turn it down. I brought it home to my Sophie who is 2 and she played with it all afternoon. =) Thanks for the inspiration!! Blessings and Sunshine, Valerie
