Green, Green Grass of Home

This is such a delightful time of year.

Oh, how I love the cool temps and golden, sunny days!

Our pansies are still perky.

 Thankful for those sweet loves.

They are so generous with their darling blooms.

The hostas are growing to scary proportions.

I'm always afraid they are going to capture guests and hide them in their leafy greenery.

Our gorgeous begonia, bought at a farmers market, is still stunning.

So happy she hasn't bitten the dust!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLANT AT THIS TIME OF YEAR?

We are in the middle of winter so anything that is flowering is pretty good this time of year.

The only place that's cool here is inside the house. :) Enjoy the beauty around you and the lovely weather. Tammy

Your flowers look lovely. I just this morning tossed my pansies. Rain, rain and then humid heat has cooked them! Everything looks a little wan right now. Heat has really moved in and also wind. My poor flower babies are worn out!

Hello from Spain: your flowers and your garden is awesome. I also love the sun and heat. Saturday begins the summer in my country. I like all kinds of flowers. Keep in touch

Your pansies are beautiful! They are such a cheerful flower, aren't they?

My favorite plant right now is our cherry trees. We have 5---1 Stella, 1 Lambert, 1 Bing, and 2 Royal Anne. And they are ripe and ready for picking.

Blessings,
Patti

Hi Susan, Your flowers are lovely and I've grown to love hostas for their refreshing greenery....so funny about them gobbling up passersby! Ours are huge too.

It's tough picking a favorite, but I'm enjoying our lobelia mixed in with some yellow marigolds and red verbena hybrids that look like little stars....such a cheerful mix. Golly, I better get blogging! Vickie

Susan,
I have to say the ROSE is my favorite flower this year. I also like azaleas, and I just saw some beautiful zinnias on a friend's blog. There are so many pretty flowers, I don't know which one is my favorite haha.

love,
~Sheri

Love the pansies too. They are stalwart additions to the New
England garden. They require little care and seem to thrive if it's cool and rainy or warm and sunny. Don't do well in the hot dog days of summer tho so we have to enjoy them before it gets to hot and humid.

My favorite flower right now are the peonies. Ours are just about to burst into bloom; pink of course. Will enjoy sitting by them in the morning with coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine. Yeah for the peonies!
