A Cheery Cherry Deal!

A local supermarket had a "delicious" sale last week.

It offered sweet cherries for $2.99 a pound!

The luscious fruit came cross-country from Rainier Fruit Company in Selah, Washington.

Bloggers from that area, I have one word for you-----LUCKY!

Well, I bought about $20 worth of cherries and shared them as part of a wedding anniversary gift to one of my sisters plus with another person.

My thought was that marriage, like life, is a lot like cherries----part sweet and part the pits!  hee hee

DO YOU LIKE CHERRIES?

Oh my gosh..that's exactly where the cherries came from that I bought at my supermarket. They were also 2.99 a pound. I bought nine dollars worth and ate them all myself during last week. I LOVED each and everyone of them. So so delicious.

They look delicious! Cherries were on sale at my grocery store last week but I missed the sale. Hoping they are still on sale when I go tomorrow. :) Have a great week!

I do like cherries but they are one of my Mom's favorite fruits and she buys them all the time. Love your analogy! LOL.

Hello from Spain: Cherries are one of my favorite fruits. They are also perfect for summer. I like your comparison of cherries with marriage. You are very witty. Keep in touch

Do love cherries! I bought a big bag for 2.99 a pound also. So sweet and juicy and so good for you. Just looking at them arranged in a pretty bowl is an wonderful summer pleasure. I like to put a few in a glass of wine at the end of the day and when the wine is done, wallah! a few "marinated" cherries to enjoy.

Good analogy with the cherries and marriage. I'm sure your sister and her husband enjoyed the cheery cherries and the analogy!

Those look yummy. We got some from our local Aldi's market last week too. I love making Bing cherry jam this time of year. Blessings and Sunshine, Valerie
