BLOGLAND TOUR!

Hello Dear Blog Peeps!

A few weeks ago, Linda, from the blog Lady Linda, asked me if I would participate in the Blogland Tour.

Linda is a dear blogger who loves dolls, her grandchildren and husband, Jimmy, the artist Mary Engelbreit, all things Tasha Tudor, tea and life, itself!

My blog, Writing Straight from the Heart, is truly a labor of love, as all our blogs are.

                                                                        Susan

My five year blogversary in blogland is coming in October!  Can you even imagine that?

The Blogland Tour is an opportunity to meet other bloggers and read their individual blogs!

What fun!

I am supposed to answer four questions so here goes:

1. What are you working on?
Around here, there is never a dull moment. Usually I have numerous irons in the fire.
But one thing I'm working on is a dollhouse yard.
Miniatures and dollhouses are hobbies of mine that fill my heart with pure  joy.
The flower pots seen in the photo were all made within the past couple of months as well as the cushions for the white iron furniture!
Next will be some steps for the front porch!

2. How does your work differ from others?
Even though it's recommended, I don't have a niche for my blog.
My posts are just written from my heart and are slices from my own life.
When first starting the blog , I had no idea if anyone would actually read it.
Now, almost five years later,  I'm awfully glad they do!
I LOVE my Followers. They are kindred spirits and are very precious to me.

 3. Why do you write/create what you do?
You know how important it is for us to breathe?  Well, it's equally important for me to write and take photographs.
It makes me so happy to share my photography and writing with others. Both have been "constants" for my entire life.
I like to think  my blog is my humble contribution to making the world a more gentle, loving and happy place!

4.How does your writing/creating process work?

Rarely will you find me without my handy little Panasonic Lumix digital camera.  One just never knows when a perfect photo opportunity is going to arise. I always  think "Oh, that shot would be perfect to share with fellow bloggers." Then, snap, snap, snap!
As for writing in my blog, I share what is happening in my life--- baking, cooking, creative projects around the house, day trips, dolls,  flowers,  hobbies, interior decorating, and on and on.

This world is so exciting and filled with immense possibilities!  I think it would be virtually impossible to run out of things to write about.
Many thanks for reading this post today!
I am so happy, honored and privileged to participate in the Blogland Tour!

Now, I'd like to introduce you to Sandie who writes the blog Chatty Chrone.

She will be featured  on the Blogland Tour next Monday, August 18th.
Sandie is a darling woman who lives in Georgia.  We have never met face-to-face (yet) but we are truly kindred spirits.  She feels like a sister to me!
She is caring, courageous, funny, genuine, honest, humble, and has a heart filled with love. Please be sure to stop by  and read all about her blog next week!

Good morning my dear blogger friend! You really did a nice job with your blogland tour and once again, I do thank you! I loved seeing pictures of your dollhouse. Kindred Spirits. Your camera takes really nice pictures. I have often wondered what you used to take your photos. Your blog is always a comfort and a ray of sunshine in my life. Love to you and enjoy the rest of summer. I am happy to be back from my trip, but it's sooo hot. It is a nice weather break in Alaska.
Hugs,
Linda

I came over from Sandie's blog to say hi.
My blog doesn't have a niche either. It started out that it was going to but now it's just whatever I feel like blogging about.
I love your dollhouse. That is really awesome

Sandie sent me.

Your dollhouse is looking great. Would you believe I have a doll house that I started in 1981 and have never finished? Then a couple of years ago one of the cats climbed on the roof and chewed most of the trim. I've got it in a safe place now and need to fix that trim. The outside was the only part that was finished...until the cat got to it.

Love your blog tour. I adore Chatty Chrone. I noticed you mentioned a friend named Linda that loves dolls.

I maybe moving in the near future and I have two curiors filled with a doll collection. I know they won't fit into the smaller housing unit I maybe moving to.

Do you think Linda would be interested in my dolls? I can forward some photos.

Hugs, Rose
