"Twoolies" Are Colorful, One-of-a-Kind Wool Animal Figures

"Twoolies" are some of the brightest, most colorful and happiest woolen animal figures you will ever hope to see.

They are for sale in specialty shops all over the USA.

You can check out where to find them on their website here.

I spotted the "Twoolies" shown in this post  in a gift shop that was part of a Mayan exhibition at the Denver, Colorado, Museum of Nature and Science.

Really, they were among the most unique and zany pieces of art I've ever had the opportunity to see.

They are all handmade by Mayan artisans in the highlands of South Mexico.

While they were all adorable, the zebras were among my faves.

Sindy Posso, an architect, is listed as one of the people involved in their production.

The Toztzil artisans who fashion the colorful animals are an ethnic subgroup of the Maya.

While I loved the Twoolies, which are true pieces of art, their cost was way out of my price range.

I sure loved looking at them and photographing them, though!

DO YOU LIKE THE  "TWOOLIES" SHOWN IN TODAY'S POST? IF YES, WHY?

Hello from Spain: I really like the twoolies. These creations have very nice and original colors. I read that are creations of Mexico. I had not seen before. Keep in touch

Never heard of them and we did not get to the Museum while we were in Denver. They sure are cute, colorful and unique. Best wishes, Tammy

I must tell my friend about these.
She made the cute moneys all dressed up and her hubby made the highchairs to have them sit in. They never sold too well.

How much are theses selling for?

These are nice.

Maybe hers are too expensive.
