Welcome to November!

Thanks to having a dear house guest for five days,  I got to take a mini-trip to Vermont.

Because it was so late in the season, we thought the autumn foliage would be mostly gone.

We were blessedly wrong.

The vistas we saw took our breath away.

God's handiwork astounds.

Many of the trees remained dressed in their most splendid finery.

When the sun came through the leaves, the sight lifted our hearts to high heaven!

(This one I took in Massachusetts!)

Vermont is a great state to visit and we'll be sharing many more posts on the day trip so stay tuned.

Hope all your autumn days are sweet, including this splendorous Sunday!

DID YOU FIND THE AUTUMN FOLIAGE MORE GORGEOUS THAN EVER THIS YEAR? (The answer to that in New England is an unequivocal YES!)

Did you ever tour Ben and Jerry's or Vermont Teddy Bear Company?

So glad you had sunny skies for your trip to Vermont. The foliage was especially vibrant this year and it did seem to linger longer for our enjoyment.

Now the hills and dales are putting on their solemn, yet still beautiful, November garb. To quote Gladys Taber: "As October ends, most of the branches are bare. We see more sky."

A peaceful Sunday to you.
