At times, in New England, we don't see the sun for many days in a row.
So when my good ol' girlfriend, Patti, brought over yellow tulips last week, they reminded me of that golden ball in the sky.

It's not a bouquet of tulips she bought. It's tulips planted in a pot which, of course, can be replanted whenever the frozen ground decides to thaw.

Bright yellow paper around the pot looks cheerful, too.
Plus, I added a very Eastery-looking doily underneath. So pretty, don't you think?

Now there's a bit of "sunshine" in the middle of the kitchen table and it makes me so happy!

I always favored the pink tulips, but since the days this Spring have featured mostly cloudy, gray days, I think golden yellow is now my fave. As you said, they remind one of the sun.
We took a ride over the hills and dales to our son's home yesterday, to celebrate the 2nd birthday of our dear little grandaughter, and guess what? The sun was out! For the whole day! What a great birthday gift for all of us.
Your pictures of the beautiful yellow tulips sent a ray of sunshine right through my computer....Thanks for that.
All tulips are beautiful. That sure is a nice sunny bunch. We haven't seen the sun in a couple of days here because of dust. Bleh! Have a great week. Tammy
