Flying into the Night

This post will be the last about a recent flying adventure.

While returning by plane to Massachusetts from out-of-state, I was privileged to see the sunset at eye level.

My heart beat fast as my eyes scanned the glorious sunset.

Before long, it was over.

It was impossible to stop taking photos.  My cell phone was pressed against the plane window and I didn't care if anyone minded the snap, snap, snapping.

It was a sunset too spectacular to hold in memory, only.

After the colors in the sky melted into the horizon and the black velvet evening began, there were twinkling lights to see, far below.

Sights like these make me realize what an awesome gift life is and we have been the more-than-lucky recipients of untold treasures.

One of these was seeing the sunset, followed by night, from an airplane window!

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER A TREASURE TODAY IN YOUR OWN LIFE?

My greatest thrill was flying out of complete darkness into the midnight sun in Alaska. I thought the cabin was on fire.

Susan,
It is a thrill to view our world from such a distance and your stunning photos capture it all. Makes a person feel in awe of it all, so beautiful.
So many blessings.
