I haven't grown an avocado from a pit in a long time, but think I'll try this with one soon. I'll let Tiger help me plant it. What fun they are to grow! Thanks for the smiles.

Never had luck growing an avocado from a pit. I had one growing in my yard but it never bore fruit. The gardener told me I needed two kinds to bear fruit and I never got another one...strange but true. Good luck getting something to eat from your green plant...
Will it produce fruit?
The cats in your header are cute and colorful, I must tell you. How good to share planting the pits with your visitor and now you can watch them grow. My current similar project is breaking off a piece of my Christmas cactus and growing that in two pots.
Looks like a fun project to do with a child or just by yourself. Maybe I will plant the pit from the avocado that I bought today. xo Laura
Mama did it all the time. Its one memory burt into my childrens mind they speak of it often ... Happy Wednesday with love
I have grown from seed - also from cuttings from a tree with no roots. Will you get avocados on that?
That is so exciting! That angel is so sweet.
Hello from Spain: Not planted on land that nothing grows. I love your garden angel. We keep in touch
Susan, your avocado plants sound wonderful. And this sweet little angel guarding them is precious. I love avocados and eat them often. But would you believe that when I was pregnant with Nel, the taste and even the thought of an avocado made me sick to my stomach, as I had pretty bad morning sickness.
Have a nice weekend.
