Father's Day Blessings to You

(Photo is of a crystal cross on a kitchen windowsill, behind a curtain, in late afternoon sun.)

Today, Father's Day, heartfelt congratulations are being sent to fathers everywhere.

Never underestimate the importance of your roles, Dads.

Along with your wives, you are your children's very first teachers and your jobs are not replaceable.

Whatever a father tells a child, the child believes.

If you tell him he is smart, he'll feel smart.

If you tell her she's beautiful, she won't doubt you.

In essence, fathers are the earthly equivalent of the Heavenly Father and they are incredibly influential in the lives of their children.

To single mothers, Happy Father's Day to you, too.

You are often both mothers and fathers to your children and that has got to be among the toughest assignments on earth. Kudos to all of you!

Today, God bless fathers everywhere. You are each very, very special!

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS, IF ANY, FOR FATHER'S DAY?

You know what Susan you are so right - children repeat what they see not what they are told. Hope you had a nice father's day and your hubs too!

I hope you had a nice Father's Day weekend, Susan. It was hectic around here, as we attended a wedding. Jess' best friend got married, and will show pics tomorrow.

Have a beautiful week.
