The beauty of thrift store shopping is one can find nice, collectible items to give as gifts, providing one knows what kinds of things the recipient likes.
For instance, one of my sisters had a June birthday.
She loves anything black wrought iron.
When I found a black wrought iron basket at a thrift store, I bought it.
Of course, I gave other gifties along with it and placed them inside the special basket.
She loved everything!

Haven't been in a thrift store in about fifteen years. Last time was when you came to visit me I think. I'm so glad your items were enjoyed by your sister.

You know I need to get back to a thrift store - haven't been there in ages. Yes I like to look at items and see if I can make them into something for someone else - but I know you have better ideas then I do!

Wow lol I have this very basket.. I love black Iron too.. I just found it down in Mama's basement last month and it was a bit rusty so I decided to plant in it.. I hung it out in the Garden .. I love it.. Happy Weekend with love Janice ..
