Darling Dahlias

Earlier today, this post stated that the flowers of choice in our front yard planters this year were zinnias.

Well, guess what?  They are not zinnias. They are dahlias. ha!  Shows you the extent of my flower knowledge.

A very dear friend, Christine, who has two green thumbs and eight green other fingers, kindly pointed out the error to me.  Thanks, Chris!

Now my cheeks are as pink, from embarrassment, as the pink dahlias!

So, let's give it another shot.

Dahlias are pretty flowers with intricate looking blooms.

They are the flower-of-choice in front yard containers this year.

All of the ones selected are pink.

They are a generous flower, too.

If you were to look closely, you would see lots of dried hot peppers all around them.

What?  Dried hot peppers?

Yup, I sprinkled dried hot peppers to discourage the bushy tailed squirrels from digging around the dahlias and so far so good.

It rained yesterday so I'd better do another red pepper sprinkling today, in case the last batch got washed away.

DO YOU LIKE DAHLIAS?

RE: Procrastination
We procrastinators just work so well under pressure that we can't help but procrastinate! No cure needed! ;^P
