Bouquet of Wildflowers

Wildflowers are simple yet beautiful.

This year I joined a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) with a cousin.

Each week we get to pick up organically grown veggies, herbs and some fruits.

The main farmer also throws in a bouquet of wildflowers each week. She said "Flowers make people happy."  She's right, too!

The blooms are so darned sweet and they last all week long.

I put them front stage and center in the middle of the kitchen table.

Aren't they pretty?

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WILDFLOWER?

Your wildflower bouquet is gorgeous, Susan! What a sweet woman to do that for the people who visit! And thank you for the kind words on our bedroom makeover. Hopefully I'll be able to post pix of the completely finished room in the near future!!
Have a great weekend,
Donna

These flowers are very pretty, delicate. My favorite wild flower is Qjeen Anne's Lace I think!

You know what they do here in Georgia that I love - in the middle of the road where the grass is - they shot tons of wildflower seeds into the soil and we have beautiful wildflowers growing in the middle of the expressway - so cool!

Queen Anne's Lace and black eyed Susans make a beautiful late summer bouquet. For fall it is Goldenrod and Wild Asters. Winter brings the red of Winterberry bushes amidst the green of White Pine and in Spring it is surely Violets, Lily of the Valley and Forget Me Nots. How blessed we are to have such a variety of beautiful wild flowers to enjoy!

My husband and I joined a CSA a couple of summers ago and the best part for me(after the wonderful array of fresh veggies) was a stroll through the sun warmed flower patch with scissors in hand. We were allowed to cut a big bouquet every week. That was a nice "extra".
