Sticky "Maple Syrup" Weather

(This is where I yearn to be on hot, humid days. )

Maple syrup tastes delicious on fresh pancakes.

However, it's unappealing when the weather turns into a "maple syrup bath."

This hot, sticky, humid weather we have been having does me in.

This New England girl likes things cool.

Even browsing in an air-conditioned shop, like the one below, in Rockport, MA, would be inviting. (But if it's not air-conditioned, forget it.)

As a cost-saving measure, we have gone without the air-conditioner to date this summer.

Scrap that idea. Recently,  I whined and complained so much about the dripping heat that hubs installed the air-conditioner in the living room window. (Thanks, hubs!)

Oh thank heaven there's a room to go to in order to get some relief. Whew!

WHICH DO YOU PREFER?  HOT WEATHER OR COLD?

I prefer even temps all year round and that is why I live in So. Cal. It isn't too hot many days of the year nor too cold. I don't have to deal with winter snow ever...only if I want to drive to the mountains..and the beach is ten minutes away to give relief in high temps. Hope your fall begins soon ....I know you'll love that.

Fall is around the corner, coming sooner than expected her, I'm afraid. Our MA. friends are also complaining about the heat. I bought two fall shirts today. Guess I'm preparing for the inevitable. Have a great day.

Hello from Spain: I love the heat. In my city the maximum summer temperature is 20 degrees. It's a cool climate. Great pics. Keep in touch

Cold weather definitely! I hate being hot. We had central air put in 2 years ago and it was a blessing. I am looking forward to Fall. :) Kit
