Happy Spooky Day!

Halloween has always been a fun holiday to celebrate.

As kids, we loved dressing up in carefully chosen costumes, going trick or treating and attending the annual Halloween parade.

It was always at night and usually quite chilly but that didn't cool off our enthusiasm.

Because so many neighbors were kind and generous when I was a kid, I do my best to make Halloween special for the little trick or treaters who come this way.

It's fun to make the night a little bit spooky, too, but not too scary.

We don't want to frighten the little ones with anything like this fellow:

This year  they will be greeted at the door from behind this pretty mask with a red feather.

There will be candies, of course, which took a rather big bite out of my fixed budget but who cares?

Halloween comes only once a year.

Happy spooking to all of you, dear blog peeps.

DO YOU DO ANYTHING SPECIAL FOR HALLOWEEN?

Susan,
Your mask is beautiful! You know I have several masks as well and a couple of them came from New Orleans. I always like a mask with some feathers-just like the one you are wearing!
Happy Halloween dear friend,

Oh, I see that you like masks too, Susan. I really love collecting them. I hope you have a magical Halloween. I will just be passing out candy tonight to all the sweet kids. But seeing their costumes and the smiles on their faces is special, isn't it?

love, ~Sheri

I'll be handing out candy to the children who come tonight too. I love seeing their costumes and they always have a fun time. Our neighborhood is growing up though so I don't get as many trick or treaters as I used to. Happy Halloween.

Oh how I love your pretty mask! And I am so glad you make the little ones night so wonderful. That is what it is all about. We do up our display and give out wads of candy and lots of compliments on costumes. It keeps my hubby and I young. :) Happy Halloween! Kit

Oh I love the mask. I hope my granddaughter who is 23 will wear her's. To her party with boyfriend.

They are quite the rage to all activities. She has one she wears to the blue Jay game and hockey game.
