Fannie Flagg's "A Redbird Christmas"

Have you read "A Redbird Christmas" by Fannie Flagg?

She's the same author who wrote "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe."

I saw the movie of the latter and it was super. Loved it.

Anyway, "A Redbird Christmas" is also a great read.

It's the kind of book you wish you could read all night until finished.  However, it would be too hard to get up in the morning!

It's a very unique story with a feel good ending. Don't want to give any more of it away.

It even has several recipes at the end!

I read and liked this book. I used to love Christmas stories during the season. But last few years I found too many well known authors hacking out bland and empty stuff for their publishers to profit from rather than producing a good story. If you have not read Small Change: The Secret Life of Penny Burford by J. Belinda Yandell give it a try. I also always love reading the Capote duo The Thanksgiving Visitor (I think) and A Christmas Memory some time in November and December.
