Father, We Give Thee Thanks

On this most gracious of days, may your heart be filled to the brim with gratitude and love.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

It's so good to be alive!

Despite the wretchedness that is part of the world, it's gratifying to know there are so many good people, too.

Today, there are those who will be caring for others in hospitals, nursing homes, half-way houses and jails instead of being home with their own families and eating turkey.

Bless each and every one of them.

Also, dear blog peeps and all readers of this blog, know that you are in my heart today and I am so very thankful that you read "Writing Straight from the Heart."

DO YOU LIKE TURKEY? ARE YOU COOKING TODAY?

Susan, yes, so much to be thankful for -- every day. My father did not like turkey at all, wasn't very fond of chicken either. So we always had beef or pork, but he would tolerate turkey this one day of the year.

We go out for Thanksgiving now. We went over to my sister's for dessert to visit with my dad and my family.
