On to November!

Okay, okay, I know. Halloween is over and everyone is probably sick unto death of pumpkins and skeletons.

However, I still want to show you some scenes indicating the fun we had last night, Halloween.

A black veil hung from the bottom of the front door wreath:

When  the trick or "treaters" rang the doorbell, and we had about 75 of them, the door slowly opened from behind.

This is the first thing they saw.......lots of flickering candles on the staircase and a lighted pumpkin looking out from the French doors to the living room.

Eerie light reflected from the hall table, too.

Candy treats came from inside the gold purse!

The creepy-looking skeleton head greeted people from the living room window.

Scary music, with some screams and howling cats, played from the side porch.

Even some big people seemed scared, at times.

It was truly a fun evening and now, bye bye Halloween, 2015,  and hello November.

(Fancy mask was a gift from my dear friend, Christina. I loved it and it made my Halloween so special!)

Time for turkeys, excluding the one shown above. hee hee!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT NOVEMBER?

You went all out. We don't get trick or treaters. Your costume is wonderful.

So fun to see all your Halloween decorations and your costume was wonderful! You really went all out.

I'm going to leave all my Halloween decorations up for another couple of days as we are going to have some beautiful late fall weather and will be able to work outside. Still have a little yard work to do. Hoping to have a bonfire one of the evenings. We will get to burn some of the last yard clippings and watch the dusk turn into evening.

I do like November as it brings a peaceful feeling and a short respite after the summer/fall activity and before the business that comes after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. It's a much needed pause....
