Savor Every Second

As the Christmas season, 2015, draws closer to its end, there' s a feeling of nostalgia tinged with sadness.

It's hard to see good times end.

On the other hand, there's the new year ahead which holds a great gift ---  hope.

Seriously, what would life be like if we had no hope?

Plus, we have already made lovely memories of the season and no one can take them away.

There will be changes, of course.  They are a true given in the lives of human beings.

There will be new discoveries, too, and brand new goals to get into writing and then take action to bring them to fruition.

So enjoy each moment that's left  of this last week before 2016 begins!

The reindeer  shown at the top of this post was one of a "herd" baked by one of my talented nieces, Sarah. (The design was originally found on Pinterest.)

Didn't she do a great job?

The Christmas tree cake, bright with candlelight, was a birthday cake for the Baby Jesus, made by another amazing niece, Amy.

The other photos were taken randomly during December.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEK? TELL US!

You have some very talented people in your family and I know you are talented as well. You know I have run around so much up to Christmas - that I am going to relax this week - just relax.

The Christmas cake for Jesus is so special, Susan. And the reindeer is delightful. Looks so yummy. I know what you mean about Christmas being over - I just kept smelling my tree before my son took it down. It was the strongest pine scent this year, and I loved it! The picture you took of the stairs is pretty, I really like that.
