Kringle Candle Company in Massachusetts, Near the Vermont Border

A visit to Kringle Candle Company, in the small, fairly rural town of Bernardston, Massachusetts, very close to Vermont, makes a great day trip.

Everyone's heard of Yankee Candle Company, right?

Well, Mike  Kittredge, co-owner of Kringle Candles, started Yankee Candle and then sold it in 1998.

He and his son, Mick Kittredge III, formed Kringle Candle Company in 2010 in a 10,000 square foot store.

The company was an instant success and the owners have since expanded it into a kind of unique little village.

There is now The Christmas Barn and Toy Shop, the Chocolate Cottage and Cottage Cafe, and the top notch Farm Table Restaurant.

One could easily spend an entire day here and still not see everything there is to see!

It's a shopper's paradise with candles, of course, household decorating objects, toys for the kids, yummy items for the kitchen and on and on.

The candle showroom has almost 100 fragrances and all the candles are dye-free and white!

Packaging is in different colors.

How would you like a floral arrangement, like the one shown above, for your dining room table?

Kringle candles are said to be made with the "purest fragrance oils."

Right now, a Kringle candle with the fragrant aroma of lilac-- just in time for spring--- is burning on the front hall table. Yippah!

(In our next post, we will take you into the Farm Table Restaurant.)

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF KRINGLE CANDLES?

Lilacs are a true sign of spring! Each day brings us closer to that season!

I have heard of Kringle Candles, but have never been to their store. Sounds like they have a little bit of everything.

Lilac is one of my favorite scents in a candle. Since the lilacs bloom here in May, it is truly a springtime fragrance.

That was a NEAT shop! I have heard of Yankee Candles not Kringle Candles.

Oh, how interesting, Susan. Yes, I've heard of the Yankee candle but not the Kringle candle. I really like the Yankee candles. What a delightful shop this is with an assortment of candle scents.

Ooooo, a chocolate cottage. I look forward to seeing more!
