Flowers, Flowers, in the Garden? No, on the Wall

Once before on this blog, we shared a particularly beautiful floral wall arrangement.

You can read a previous post here:

It's housed in an ornate, very Victorian-looking umbrella holder.

However, it bears repeating because it's so lovely.

I admire it every time I go into the dining room.

A long-time high school friend, Patti, made it for me.

She's extremely artistic and can create beauty out of nothing!

Not everyone can do that.

So just enjoy the dining room wall decor through the photographs in this post.

DO SOME OBJECTS IN YOUR HOME REMIND YOU OF DEAR FRIENDS?

Oh I have a friend who does her own faux flower arrangements in her home too and they are gorgeous. She's never done one for me though. She has given my many things that I love as gifts though and when I look at them I think of her. Lovely pictures Susan.

I remember seeing the post about this particularly lovely arrangement. It really is stunning.

I do have many things in my home that were given to me by family or friends and it is wonderful to recall the giver and the circumstances when looking at them.

I have a little teddy bear,(only about 5 inches tall), that sits on a tiny chair among baby pictures of my kids and my husband and myself. The little bear was given to me by my dear late brother, Bruce. He came to visit me in the hospital after the birth of my first son. That was 38 years ago......

Many things used to remind me of people...your wall treatment is lovely and I am glad it is there for you! One thing I have is a tea wreath with tea ornaments signed by friends who attend my tea parties then. Now 15 years old or more!!!!

When I pass through the house and see things of my mother's or things my mother made - I do feel her.

I have a vase filled with artificial sunflowers. I found Kitty No No eating the foam greenery. Ugh. My real roses are blooming after all this rain. Happy Spring, Susan.

At one point in my life I did a bit of floral design. That is an absolutely beautiful wall pocket with such pretty roses. Your friend is sweet.

Oh my, that umbrella holder is sooooo pretty. It DOES look Victorian. Lovely pictures of the roses, Susan, and the red one made my heart glad. :)
