Sweet Bouquet Says "Welcome"

Last weekend, I bought a bouquet of flowers to put in the bedroom of guests staying with us.

Rather than select flowers all the same color, I opted for a multi-colored arrangement.

Now that the guests have departed, the flowers grace the center of the kitchen table.

No matter which way one turns the vase, different colored flowers can be seen and enjoyed!

They are in a blue, turquoise, white and yellow vase.

An old-fashioned  multi-colored doily sits underneath the vase.

I love the bright colors and perkiness of the flowers, gifts from Mother Nature.

They bring a bit of cheer to the kitchen as well as to the spirits of all who see them.

They are especially welcome on the dark, rainy days of April.

I totally agree with you - I love the multi-colored flowers the best - I think they are just beautiful.

I absolutely love the color and beauty of your blog. Is the teacup at the top of your blog a Royal Albert design? I have quite a few Royal Albert teacups and teapots. Bright beautiful flowers in the room do help welcome all those who enter your home. To make guest feel welcome in my home, I brew a fresh pot of loose tea and set the table with various tea cups and fresh baked goods. I find time to talk with them and make myself available for conversation whenever they seem to want it.

I like to give my guests a nice breakfast if they are staying overnight in my home. I never buy bacon myself so have that in the freezer just in case I have company. I got gorgeous calia lilies in three different colors from my daughter and they lasted until today. They were just beautiful and smelled divine. Fresh flowers always make a home more beautiful.

Kitty nono thinks I've brought the great outdoors inside for him, so I don't have them indoors. That colorful doily is beautiful as the flowers.

Lovely flowers, Susan. I'm sure your guests appreciated them. Are those Carnations? One of my favorite flowers. :)

To answer you question......I do the same, fill a vase with flowers and also put some chocolates out for a treat. A happy weekend to you.

love, ~Sheri
