Curious Pot Holes

The little town of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, is famous for its spectacular Bridge of Flowers.

We've done several posts on it in the past.

If you missed them and are remotely interested, you can find a couple of them here and here.

Some glacial pot holes there are quite fascinating, too.

The pot holes are located near a gushing waterfall.

The entire area is quite picturesque.

Visting Shelburne Falls makes a great day trip.

WHAT IS ONE SPECIAL PLACE TO VISIT NEAR WHERE YOU LIVE?

Stone Mountain - worlds largest piece (a mountain you can climb) of granite. It has a huge carving on one side - the faces of the civil war generals. The nose is five feet long.

Love the glaciers - weren't they amazing? I saw real ones in Alaska a few years ago and they actually were groaning.

I have never seen a glacial pot hole. Intriguing for sure.

How exciting to be so close to something created so many years in the past. Now the potholes around here are not glacial but destructive.

.. Hi Susan..... The pot holes are amazing. I'd never heard of them before.

My favourite natural attraction is the Blowhole in Kiama NSW.. the ocean spurts up through a hole in the rocks there, like a geyser. It's quite huge..
It's about a 2 hour drive from where we live.. we used to take the kids there for picnics.. xxxx
