Mum's the Word

In the little bit of time between fall and winter, mums make their appearance.

These big, beautiful babes cheer up the yard and make people smile.

This year, we have deep cranberry ones as well as lavender and a few yellows.

They are soooooo pretty, especially in the early morning sun.

It's quite chilly outside today but the sun is shining and the mums are blooming so life is good!

Hope each of you, despite troubles, worries and things around us that we don't like, has a good and relaxing day.

Stay in the moment and look forward to good things to come.

DO YOU FIND IT CHALLENGING TO STAY IN THE MOMENT?

Love your new header Susan . You did a great job. I have mums outside in my back yard too. They come up every year and all I do is water them. So pretty. We do not celebrate Columbus day in the schools where I live.

We do celebrate as in observing it - but we don't have the day off here or anything... Love your mums... And I noticed your header too!

Love the mums, especially the cranberry one. I may need to get some for my front porch. :) I agree, they do make you smile. Enjoy your week!

Mums are a pretty flower and come in so many different colors. I only wish our temperatures here were not quite so cold to freeze them. I am looking out my window today and there is snow falling.

That is the million dollar question. How to stay in the moment and enjoy it. When dealing with a serious illness it is a daily struggle of gargantuan proportions to stay in the moment. Worry, anxiety, fear and sadness are all make it almost impossible. But one must try. The ordinary moments do become extraordinary if one can only let them....

The mums are such a cheerful flower. They look nice in your yard. Just moved this weekend into a new place and so tired, Susan. But I wanted to stop unpacking for awhile and visit some of my favorite blogs. Thank you for the gentle reminder to stay in the moment.

love, ~Sheri
