Christmas Eve

Christmas Day is close at hand.

Tonight is Christmas Eve, the night that children all over the world go to bed excited as they wait for Santa's arrival.

Tonight is also when we think of that starlit night so long ago when a baby king was born in a humble manger.

That night changed the world forever.

No matter what is going on in the world, because of that night we can have deep peace in our hearts forever.

It's been a happy and slightly frantic season that tugs at the heart as well as the purse.

Christmas has always been and probably will remain my very favorite holiday.

The decorated cupcakes shown in this post delighted the children who got to eat them.

I found the cupcake decorations in Marshalls and they were so adorable.

Check out this wine bottle sweater and hat!  Isn't that the cutest
darned thing?

So until tomorrow, dear blog peeps, I wish you deep and abiding peace and love!

Merry Christmas!

DO YOU HAVE PLANS FOR TONIGHT?

I'm hoping to feel well enough to go to Christmas Eve service at my church.

Happy Christmas Eve! Your cupcakes look marvelous! It is softly snowing right now and I am loving the morning. I have a lot to do, but I don't mind. I will turn on the fireplace, put on my Christmas Carols and enjoy the whole day. We go over to my SIL's house tonight after I take my youngest to church and we have our buffet here at my house. Then home to share a new ornament with my hubby. Merry Christmas friend! Kit

Singing at midnight Mass with the choir at church. Earlier in the day I'm making pies to take tomorrow for dinner to a friends house. Also having a good fried over to sing carols with me around 8 p.m. Have a wonderful time tonight. I'll be thinking of you all.

Merriest Christmas, Susan! Your cupcakes ARE adorable...
We'll be heading out to our 5:00 Christmas Eve service in a few minutes
It's been a lazy day. I've been reading A City of Bells (Goudge) and loving it. From time to time, I join the puzzlers. We completed a 1,000 piece one only to discover 2 missing :)
