The New and the Old

All seasons are special and wonderful but Christmas remains a Number One Favorite.

Remembering the Baby Jesus's birth and coming to our world give us renewed faith and hope.

There's so much to celebrate about this holiday.

One can surround one's self with beauty for weeks on end before having to pack everything up and put it away again.

This year, we've enjoyed eating every meal on  Johnson Brothers Christmas tree plates.

They were a gift two years ago from a sweetheart of a friend, Patti.

A variety of  placemats has been changed frequently throughout the season.

This year, another very dear friend, Christina, gifted me with two new Santas and they have joined the Advent wreath on the kitchen table.

It is blissful to get up each day and look forward to every blessed minute.

Of course, we can do that even when it's not Christmas but this holiday somehow makes each moment extra special.

For the rest of the Christmas season, may angels bless you, every one!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO DO EVERY DAY DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON?

I love to sit and look at my Christmas tree and the decorations from years past and the memories they evoke. I also like to look at my vintage Christmas collections. It's a good time to just enjoy your home.

I love to listen to and sing with Christmas music on the radio, CD player or in my car...My favorite time of year to sing with the church choir too.

I just love your plates! And your new Santas are wonderful! My most favorite thing to do each day is to turn all my Christmas lights on. I love all the color and sparkle. Makes even the coldest day, warmer. :) Kit

Of all the things I have seen on your blog, that sweet little angel in your header is the thing that makes me smile every single time. I love sitting in the living room early int he morning with the tree lights aglow. Going to be 60 here for Christmas.

Susan, your china is perfect for this time of year. I just love Johnson Bros. patterns. Your Santa is adorable and isn't it fun to sit back and enjoy all the trimmings this time of year? For me, each ornament and and most of my recipes represent someone I love. Tis the season to give thanks and celebrate our Saviour's first coming. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!

Christmas blessings,
Sandi
