The Pink Madonna

As Christmas draws closer,  my heart fills more and more with love.

The gifts I'm most thankful for have already been given.

They are incredible gifts for which I am immensely grateful.

The gift of sight is at the top of the list.

Being able to see the Christmas tree and mantel lights as well as the beautiful decorations on our own and on other houses has been so joyful.

The gift of hearing to listen to all the wonderful Christmas carols is also precious.

Being able to walk and move, swim and hug are all gifts, too, and were given so freely by our Heavenly Father.

The gift of family is huge. We have two wonderful grown up kids who married kind and loving spouses. More gifts!

Now we have grandchildren, too, treasures beyond our greatest expectations.

Even seeing the beautiful pink Madonna, shown in this post, is a gift.

She is from Lebanon and was given to my brother-in-law's late father as, well, a special gift.

She's now in my sister and BIL's house and the Madonna is as gorgeous as ever.

Of course, I love the Blessed Mother as well as the color pink so she was bound to touch my heart.

Isn't she stunning?

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BIG GIFTS OF YOUR OWN LIFE FOR WHICH YOU ARE GRATEFUL THIS CHRISTMAS?

All the gifts you list are very precious (ability to see, hear, move, etc.) and the pink Madonna is a graceful beauty. She looks like she could be worthy of a museum and good to know she has a home where she is treasured.

Both my boys just arrived home. It's the first time we've all been together in 2 years so I'm definitely grateful for that. Wishing you and yours a very happy and blessed holiday.

This is a beautiful Mary and Jesus statue. It's so unique, haven't seen one like it before. I wish it was passed on to someday because you love PINK so. :)
