Fragile Moments...

Fragile.

That means delicate, right?

Easily broken?

It indicates the need to treat something with great care.

The other day, I was thinking how fragile life is.

The old expression "Here today, gone tomorrow" speaks volumes.

It's so true, too.

Life is very, very precious.

It's as tenuous as a candle flame or a tender new flowering plant.

Each day, each moment, each breath that is given to us is a gift.

It's important to make that realization and treat life with great love and care.

It may be accomplished through a moment of silence and peace.

Or by looking outside and watching the birds at the feeder hungrily eating their seeds.

Or by looking into a child's eyes and seeing the wonder of being alive.

Take time to realize what a gift you have been given to be alive today.

Take time to laugh, to hug, to enjoy, and to appreciate life today, right now, this minute.

In reality, it's all we have!

WHAT COMES INTO YOUR MIND WHEN YOU HEAR THE WORD 'FRAGILE?'

Good morning Susan, I love your post and it really made me stop and think. I guess what comes to my mind since last August, is health. Everything is going along and then wham! Life is very fragile and so is our health. It can change so quickly. Good thoughts....Happy Sunday.

Love your pictures and thought for today. Our lives are fragile if your health is poor...so exercise, eat right, believe in a higher power and enjoy whatever time you have here on earth,=,

I had a sampler years ago that said, "Life is Fragile. Handle With Prayer."

A very nice post, Susan, showing appreciation for all you have, and just the little things we see each day. Love your ballerina figurine, it's so pretty.

I was just thinking today we never know about life and it is so fragile. We think it will just go on and on. But in a second it can be snuffed out. Life is fragile.

Beautifully written...we never know when our world will be dumped upside down.

Your post hit home today. My son had a "cardiac event" last week---not a heart attack, but something. They're trying to figure out exactly what. Scary stuff. So I've spent days now considering just how important it is to embrace and treasure the day-to-day things because everything can change in a second. Good post.

If we have a fragile life and supposed to treat it with care, why do we struggle so much? Why do we push limits so much?

My first prayer each morning is to be thankful that I am alive and well. There might be arthritic pain but compared to others, I really have nothing to complain about.
It has been my goal to live each day to the fullest - who knows what tomorrow will bring?
