Snow Is on the Daffodils

In the fall, a popular expression often heard is the "frost is on the pumpkin."

I have a new expression for the end of this winter.

It is, "Snow is on the "daffodillies."

Yep, my pretty front door spring wreath is covered with snow.

That is the aftermath of a recent nor'easter and chilly willy temperatures. We had more than a foot of snow!

The little birdie on the wreath is buried under it, too.

Maybe the snow, once it melts, will wash the faux flowers and make them brighter!

That's today's good news.  The snow is melting and it's bound to warm up soon.

HAS SPRING SPRUNG WHERE YOU LIVE?

WOW!!! That is a lot of snow to usher in Spring. I hope your daffodils survive and that warmer weather is on the way. xo Laura

Well I have real daffodils out on my patio blooming. We have rain today and need it but spring has sprung here. It was in the high seventies last week and this week a bit cooler but lovely.

Oh Susan, the snow looks so pretty on the daffodils. I love that wreath with yellow and Purple. You know, Purple is a favorite color of mine around Easter time. Your wreath is lovely, especially with the snow covering it.

Yes, it's Spring around my neck of the woods. We had lots of sunshine and warm weather, but this week it's raining again. Maybe it's the last pour of the season?

I look forward to all the Spring flowers from the Northern Hemisphere, we are in Autumn in Australia and it's a bit mixed-up too ...

The dusting of snow make s a pretty wreath, sort of like a promise of what's to come.

Oh my look at that! We have had that happen in the past too. We are having a slow Spring so far. Flowers are coming up but our highs are still only in the high 40's. Yesterday was a treat and it got up to 55 and I sat outside in the sun for a bit. :) Kit

You sure have had a lot of winter! I have friends who live close to you and they got buried too. Spring is behind here in Oregon. My hubby and I were talking that we are about 3-4 weeks behind. The temps are warming but we haven't seen much sun. I am ready for it to be spring.
Hope you don't have snow again.

We've had little snows and big snowstorms in March before, but thankfully not this year. Yes, spring is very much in season right now here in Central Illinois and I'll probably be mowing the yard if not tomorrow, this week for sure.
