Lavender and Blue in the Kitchen

At an estate sale recently, way too many "things" caught my eye.

One of them was a faux hydrangea and lilac floral arrangement in a silver pitcher with a handle.

Another was a really beautiful light blue bed topper covered with embossed designs.

Both turned out to be perfect for the kitchen table!

The kitchen walls are painted "Morning Sunshine,"  a pale yellow that I have loved since the day they were painted.

The sills of two windows above the sink are lined with cobalt blue glass in all kinds of shapes and sizes.

The "new" look with the flowers and newly purposed "tablecloth" are both very appealing.

The price was very reasonable, too-----free!  One of my sisters had the estate sale!

WHAT DOES COBALT BLUE MAKE YOU THINK OF?

What a pretty table cloth and bouquet of flowers, Susan. Estate sales and garage sales and flea markets are fun to browse through, and when we find goodies for our home, that's even better. : )

*to answer your question, when I see cobalt blue, it reminds me of my gypsy style. It's such a mysterious and beautiful color.

I think those two things you got at the sale were gorgeous. And when I see blue - I see fresh - crisp - new.

It reminds me of the song :Lavender Blue, dilly dilly, Lavender green, I shall be king dilly dilly, you shall be queen. That is what i was reminded of when I saw your arrangement. My daughter loves anything cobalt blue when YOU have an estate sale.
