Window Box Beauty

Flower boxes at the bases of windows on any house can be totally awesome.

Each year, I try to make our window boxes stand out.

This year, hubs bought pink and red geraniums.

They were quite pretty but looked lonely in the boxes.

I added alyssum , pretty white flowers, to each side of the geraniums taking center stage in the middle of the boxes, and also added vinca vines.

The vines gently flow down onto the fronts of the boxes.

All the plants are growing now and look lovely.

DO YOU HAVE WINDOW BOXES?  IF NO, WOULD YOU LIKE TO? IF YES, WHAT FLOWERS DO YOU PLANT IN THEM?

I have window ledges but the windows are way too hard to open and most of the time it's too dusty or hot to make it worth having plants on them. I love geraniums but it doesn't fare well here in our harsh climate.

I do not have window boxes as I have very few windows...mostly sliding glass doors in my house. However my beautiful outdoor hydrangeas and other flowers are completely burnt due to temps over a hundred for three straight days in a row. I'm so sad. They won't come back either...even though I watered them.

Your porch is beautiful! Great shots.

I do not have window boxes, though I do love them. I used to live in an apartment with a narrow stone courtyard. My roomates and I put up window boxes to brighten the place up.

I love window boxes and have always wanted them, ever since I saw them filled with geraniums in New England. Hope you are having a great day.

Yes, I have window boxes on our small cottage (ranch, lol) of a house. My husband built them and they are attached to the siding with brackets. I have petunias and potato vine in them this year. They're always such a cheery sight. :)
