Pink Roses Against Black

Some material gifts we receive last a long time.

Several years ago, my niece, Sarah,  gave me a soft, warm scarf that she made herself!

It was especially precious to me because it had pink roses against a black background.  I love pink and adore roses.

Plus, because Sarah handmade it herself, it was extra special to me.

The minute it gets chilly in the house, or outside, the scarf is wrapped around my neck and these past days it has definitely been chilly!

This morning the temperature registered eight degrees!

But the beautiful, soft, and cozy scarf brings me instant warmth and comfort, as well as thoughts of my niece!

WHAT IS ONE GIFT YOU HAVE HAD FOR A LONG TIME?

It's lovely, and I am sure it gives you extra warmth because it warms your heart as well as your body. xo Laura

I like black with the roses too - is it more of a shawl - I am trying to picture it - not sure what the stripe is. How sweet she made it for you - she hugs you all the time.

That is absolutely beautiful. We could use some warmth here, for sure.

So glad the new year has brought you joy too, Susan. You'll have to show the tea pot you got at Marshall's. Love that store. It's always nice when we can get a discount on stuff too. This is the prettiest scarf, and you love pink roses a lot. Homemade gifts are the best. What a thoughtful one from your niece. Pink and black is a lovely combination.

Thanks for stopping by tonight. I always appreciate your wonderful comments.

love, ~Sheri
