Angel Make-Over

This is a time of transition from fall to winter.

While hauling fall decor up to the attic, and deciding which decorations to start bringing down, I came across a box slated for giving away.

Peeking inside, an angel in a long, deep burgundy dress, snuggled in a corner of the box.

Long, worn ribbons, which may have once been gold, protruded from around the angel's neck and shoulders.

Wires underneath the skirt jumbled it in a distorted fashion.

I lifted the angel out of the giveaway box, took her downstairs, and started a make-over.

Snip, snip went the scissors and the ugly, worn ribbons were cut away.

More snip, snips cut across the long skirt and ridiculous wires.

By the time the makeover concluded, the little angel looked very presentable and now sits on a kitchen windowsill, awaiting the holiday season.

Just like the angel makeover, we can make adjustments in our lives.

If something is no longer working, we can get rid of it and begin anew.

Or, we can snip and re-arrange until it suits us.

Change, while sometimes painful, is good.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU HAD TO ADJUST THAT, IN THE END, MADE YOUR LIFE BETTER?

I have and have had to adjust to many changes and things in my life and always have had the faith in God to do so. Faith is the answer to all.

There have been so many changes I have had to make in my life for health reasons. I was a young mom when I was diagnosed with a chronic illness but with the Lord's help, I am living a blessed life. I have my good days and bad days but my faith in God gets me through it all. I know that my life is better because He is in it.
