How Sweet It Is

Does the word "dessert" put a slight smile on your face?

During the holidays, at a book club luncheon, there were quite a few smiles around the table.

The desserts enjoyed were served at Zucchini's Restaurant.

The creme brulee, shown above, with a crunchy, sweet top layer and a creamy, luscious layer underneath, just about melted in the mouth.

The tiramisu, redolent with coffee and chocolate flavors, looked exquisite.

And the special chocolate-covered ice cream concoction shown below was a piece of edible art.

Ahhhhh, wouldn't it be great to eat dessert first at every meal?

WHAT IS YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE DESSERT?

I don't think I have had creme brulee or tiramisu to be honest with you.
My favorite - chocolate cake and chocolate icing of peanut butter icing!

I love me some Key lime or lemon meringue pie. Used to be able to get a vegan version here but hasn't been available for some years now. There's also nothing better than a big slice of hot apple pie a la mode. :)

Just had the crème brulee for my birthday dessert last weekend. My favorite dessert is apple pie...homemade.

I'm not sure I can choose a favorite. Just had a memorable banana pudding at dinner out in Vermont, and tiramisu for dessert on Christmas Eve. Loved the sticky pudding I had in England last summer. I'm a dessert fan, too, and if I could I would eat cake and ice cream every day. I try to eat low carb and one of my projects for the last few years has been low carb/no sugar baking.
Thanks for visiting Buttercupland. The penguin pictures were taken in the Falkland Islands in 2017. It was part of a dream trip to Antarctica.

YUMMY desserts, Susan. I had crème brulee many years ago, and I've only had it once. It was like a slice of goodness.

My favorite dessert is chocolate cake with white frosting.....brownies come in a close second. ; ) These desserts that you've shown would be so good with a hot cup of coffee.
